Visitation Guidelines

VisitPittsburgh welcomes your interest in Pittsburgh and Its Countryside. Our Marketing + Communications team is happy to assist travel media with suggested itineraries and to facilitate visits to museums, performing arts venues, restaurants and other points of interest for articles, books and broadcasts.

Depending on the nature of your assignment, VisitPittsburgh can assist with accommodations, passes to attractions, media hosts, escorts and more.

Please allow two to four weeks advance notice for media hosting and itinerary assistance. In addition, we request that you send a recent sample of travel-related articles or coverage. Complete the below Media Request Form, with the Press Trip Request section filled out, and a VisitPittsburgh staff person will contact you directly.

Please note that complimentary arrangements are provided at the discretion of the host business and are subject to availability. Black-out periods can occur that may necessitate a press rate, particularly at hotels. In addition, please understand that our primary concern is assisting working media and host locations are not always able to accommodate accompanying spouses, children and friends.
